“The way we talk to our children becomes their inner voice.” -Peggy O’Mara
Love Yourself
You are beautiful. Always love yourself and know that your value comes from who you are and not what you do.
Appreciate the characteristics that make you you. When we love and accept ourselves we are able to be the same towards others.
Always Choose Kindness
No matter what, be kind to people even when they don’t deserve it. Something as simple as a smile or a compliment can make their whole day.
Being kind takes courage and sometimes it can be challenging. If someone is unkind to you don’t take it personal. Always treat others how you want to be treated. We never know what someone is going through and hurt people will try and hurt other people. .
You will never regret being kind.
Help Others
When you are in a position to help someone- help them. Don’t do it for recognition but do it because it’s the right thing to do.
Help others in need in any way you can, even when you know they can’t help you back.
Forgiveness Is Important
Forgiveness will always lead to a much happier life. It may not always be easy to forgive someone but remember that there is no peace without forgiveness.
It’s Ok To Make Mistakes
You are going to make mistakes and it’s OK. You are human and no one is perfect. Always focus on growth instead of perfection.
When we make mistakes, we should always try and find the lesson in them. Sometimes the same lesson will show up over and over again until you learn from it. We all make mistakes daily but the best way to grow from them is to find the lesson in the mistake.
Don’t Compare Yourself To Others
You were created in God’s perfect image. You are unique and you were created to do great things. Nothing good will ever come from comparing yourself to someone else.
Love who you are and be comfortable in your own skin. Even in times when you may feel less than or not pretty enough, always be you. Be proud of who you are.
Pray Daily
Prayer changes things and we should always try and find peace through prayer. We have prayer so that we can communicate with God directly. Always know that that God is always close and available.
We are all children of God and He loves us unconditionally. Always keep Him first in everything you do.
Stand Up For Yourself & Others
Always have the courage to stand up for yourself and others. Stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves.
It may not always be easy but always use your voice, even if it shakes, to do the right thing and stand up for what you believe in.
Never Stop Learning
Knowledge is power and you should always be a student of life. Life is a learning lesson and the moment we stop learning we stop growing. Surround yourself with people that you can learn and grow from. Never stop learning.
Enjoy Life
Always enjoy life and do the things that make you happy. Don’t deprive yourself of the simple joys of life. Happiness is our own responsibility and we cannot expect others to make us happy.
“Enjoy every single moment. The good, the bad, the beautiful, the ugly, the inspiring, the not-so-glamorous moments and thank God through it all.”
Take Risks
Risks can lead to amazing opportunities and personal growth. Sometimes we have to step out of comfort zone and be brave. Life is too short to be scared and not take risks.
“It’s better to try something and have it not work that not having done anything at all.”
You Are Loved
Babygirl, you are loved, you are treasured and no matter what I will never stop loving you.
